Special children music education is one to study special children. These days, music education to children in the world has been paid attention to, but this field is just one of the weak circles in our country. Consequently, we should strengthen the realization to special children music education, try to study and probe in both aspects of education theory and education practice, try the best to meet the international standards. This is not only the need of the society development, but also the embodiment of the education idea, education should treat each student equally, which was encouraged recently.Special children include ex-normal (genius) and under-normal (intelligently-defective) children and those physically-defective and psychological-defective ones. This thesis has just discussed intelligently-defective children intensively. There are more than 4,280,000 children who are intelligently defective during the age of 6 to 14. The possibility to compensate and cure these children has strong connection with the ageā€”the younger the better it works. It must be fully possible to get well to different extend if the cure would be started at early age without delay. With the development need of intelligence-cultivate education (this is the abbr. of education to intelligently-defective children), some modern teaching methods have been introduced, by many scholars, to the music education to intelligently-defective children. However, we found that there are many problems existing in intelligence-cultivate education by the conclusion from the education practice these recent years.This thesis tries to call on people, who is working in music education field, to pay more attention to music education to intelligently-defective children by the fully study to this field. And some available methods, which may benefits people working in this field, were probed in this thesis too. There are three sections in this thesis: intelligently-defective children and music education were discussed in the first section. The second section deals with the use of teaching material in educating intelligently-defective children and the ability which teacher should have. The prospect of music education to intelligently-defective children was discussed in the last section.
