Liu Xie Aesthetics Thought

This article tries to connect the origin of Fenggu, the history background and the explanation in Liu Xie's original text. By doing so this article attempts to find out the original meaning of Fenggu.This article holds the follow opinions. An article with Feng has many reuirements. For example, the content must be substantial, the feeling must be flush, the tongue must be sonorous... but, to sum up, an article with Feng is the article which can deeply infect the readers. So does an article with Gu.An article with Gu has many requirements: the words must be used properly; the construction must be reasonable; the clue must be clear; the language must be sturdy... but in a word, an article with Gu is the article which gives the readers such a general impression: energetic, vigorous, straight and persuasion. The articles with Fenggu are those which give a strong infection and persuasion to the readers.This article not only tries to find out the original meaning of Liu Xie's Fenggu, but also tries hard to proble into the significance in different epochs, thus to realize the possibility of the dialogue between the history and the reality.
