Discourse Analysis In Psychology Research

The dissertation has discussed discourse analysis in psychology. There are two implications of discourse analysis in psychology: Firstly, discourse analysis in psychology is a kind of recently appeared research standpoint(research orientation): psychology is constructed by discourse, the discourse is a kind of spoken social practice. As a new research standpoint, discourse analysis deeply reconsiders and criticizes the traditional psychology, reconstructs the psychological essence, psychological research object, the research goal, the research key. Secondly, discourse analysis in psychology is a research approach or method. At present , there are two version of the discourse analytic method in psychology: Non-critique discourse analysis and critique discourse analysis. The non-critique discourse analysis main attentions how words constructs the kinds of social practice(psychological practice),the influence of words to the speaker; the critique discourse analysis pays attention to the status, self, individual and social change as well as authority relations. Two methods exist difference on concrete utilization. Discourse analysis was introduced in psychology, which produces the significant influence to the psychology development: It adds glory to the psychological critique spirit, revises the modern psychology shortcomings, promotes psychology returning to the humanity, impels the psychology localization to develop.
