Song Ci Jiangyin, "ge" Research

Song Dynasty had seen many families of literature, amongst which there was Ge family in Jiangyin. Ge is one of the blossomy families in Jiangyin. For five generations, scholars had emerged from Ge family, and for three generations, scholars who wrote the orders for the Emperor had came from the family. In Ge family, there were Shengzhong Ge, Lifang Ge and Tan Ge who had eminent achievements in literature and had collections of Ci widespread; besides, they were called "the Three Ges" by Master Guizhang Tang. This paper presents a detailed research on the life and poetry of "the Three Ges" from the point of view of family-based literature, and consists of six sections. From the first section to the forth contains a brief introduction to Ge family, concentrating on revealing the life of "the Three Ges". For example, the relation between Shengzhong Ge and Fu Wang; the date of birth of Lifang Ge, when he married, the time he governed Yun Jian, his relation with Hui Qin; and the date of birth Tan Ge, his relation with his nephews, the time of commencement as well endness of governed Changzhou and Lin Chuan. From the fifth section to the sixth is a research on Ci of "the Three Ges", emphasising the topics and artistic features. This section also concludes and evaluates the general style of the Ci of "the Three Ges".
