This thesis is to analyze the relationship between JIA Ping-wa and Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literary Criticism from the angle of "Aesthetic of Reception". The whole thesis is divided into four chapters, and each chapter has three sections. The first chapter, from the macroscopic angle, has established a "Coordinate" about history, and then explained the concept of "History of literature", and "Literary Criticism". The third section of Chapter 1 divided JIA Ping-wa's literary creation into three periods according to the influence that Literary Criticism made to the writer's psychology: the time before Fei Du, period of Fei Du's literary creation and publication, literary creation period after Fei Du. According to this order, Chapter2, Chapter3 and Chapter4 concretely studied the relationship between Literary Criticism and JIA Ping-wa's literary creation. There are three sections for each chapter: the first section is the summary of literary creation; the second is a general description of contemporary Literary Criticism, while the third is a concrete analysis of the influence between those two aspects. However, these three periods are not closed periods and they mutually affected one another. Chapter2 is to talk about the early time of JIA Ping-wa's literary creation. It seemed that he didn't care about the mainstream but actually was so influenced by Literary Criticism that he participated the society positively. The third chapter states that the Literary Criticism about Fei Du has greatly influenced JIA Ping-wa's psychology. Chapter4 classifies the Literary Criticism into 11 aspects and proposes that the Literary Criticism's development has become more and more multiply. At the part of conclusion, a conception "Chaos" is proposed to project the trend of JIA Ping-wa's literary creation and Literary Criticism's development. This thesis is not to make a conclusion of JIA Ping-wa but a hope to use a novel angle to research the complicated literary creation.
