On Liu Xiaofeng Early Aesthetics And Steering

As an important figure in the academic contemporary community ofChina, Liu Xiaofeng has been leading several academic trend from the1990s and also gives the impression of academic change. Early study ofphilosophy, poetry and later study of Christian theology, He has recentlyreturned to the Classics. What prompted such contrasting constantlychange his academic focus? This paper focused on the thought of poetrystage, that his pursuit of aesthetics and aesthetic shift stage.In the early 1980s, Liu xiao feng was fanatical fans of aesthetics, aswell as supporters of aesthetic. He embodied the aesthetic thinking frompoetic idea to poetic dwelling and expected poetic life and aestheticliberation warmly in his book "Poetic Philosophy". But two years later,he changed his thoughts, shifting to the theology from aesthetics.Therefore, he wrote his book " Rescue And Carefree " which questionedthe absolute value of individual survival faith through compared to thedifferent attitude about the world between the Western and chinesepoeter, then rejected modern nihilism with phenomenology and Christiantheology.This paper describes Liu Xiaofeng's early aesthetic ideology and thebackground of his early aesthetic thinking, by discussing the aestheticthinking and shift form "Poetic Philosophy" to " Rescue And Carefree ",which analyzes the development of the contemporary aesthetic problems and difficulties of China, reveals the true meaning of Liu Xiaofeng'saesthetic shift and significance&enlightenment of the contemporaryaesthetic development of China. Finally, This paper suggests thataesthetics should not only provide aesthetic transcendence for human butalso pay close attention to real life, should seek settled belief and valueconversion continually for the emotional life of an individual existence indifferent historical periods, different realities and different times.
