On The Music Education Of National Defense

As a quality essential to every citizen, patriotism is the foremost content of the national education, especially in national defense education. How to make educating people to the necessity of national defense easily accepted by public has been a hot issue among the educators. In this essay, the author objectively analyzed the great impact music has made in social organization in military affairs through a large number of examples in all ages. In her study, the author approves the special effect of music in national defense education. By means of. philology, survey and investigation, she analyzes another form of national defense education—musical education of national defense—its basic idea about way how to transform the modality of Chinese characteristic music in education into music composed and performed by musicians to exert a subtle influence on people, adding a new way of training all-around intellectuals for the modem times for the sake of the development of the modem national defense education of our country.On the basic of briefly analyzing the functions of music in social organization, education and its value in national defense education, the essay emphasize the development of patriotism, strengthens the national spirits, sublimes the national defense consciousness through musical education, analyzes the role that music plays in the military affairs, and demonstrates the possibility of national defense education's penetrating into musical education. Meanwhile, from the following three aspects of the coherence of purpose, the mingle of contents with each other, the mutualism of function between national defense education and musical education, the author makes the theoretical evidence clear the relation between the musical education and the national defense education, and safely poses the concept of the musical education for national defense on the basis of the concept of "music of national defense" which launched by our ancestors. With the view of practice the combination between the musical education and the national defense education, the author brings forward the practical way of the musical education for national defense, fundamentally analyzing the system from the purpose, measures and organizational forms of the musical education for national defense.
