The Rational Position

The research object of this thesis is the sketch and proposal within art creation.This thesis aims at clarifying people's inaccurate and blurry understanding of sketch and proposal, by means of in-depth study, simplifying the venation of art creation's evolvement and development, presenting the function and interrelation of rational and emotional art creation from distinctive point of view, establishing the important attribute and status of sketch and proposal in creation, exploring regularity, collecting and summarizing the guiding significance methods of art creation, thus enriching and perfecting education system of Higher Academy of Fine Art, enable them to become more suitable for the need of contemporary art activities. Furthermore, it can also provide a constructive reference for the virtuous development of contemporary art.Research methods are divided into five parts: firstly, literature research-in order to find out the predecessors' research state of relevant topics, and collect relevant research achievements; secondly, image analysis-to grasp image data of artists art creation from both home and abroad; thirdly, interview research-interview famous artists and curator, obtain important opinions from principal roles of the research field; fourthly, participation-experience contemporary art activity with the identity of assistant and artist; fifthly, conformity and analysis-after integrating all the aspects information into a reasonable structure, research text will be edited-then a research position will be established while setting up the soil and language environment that the research needs. Sketch and proposal is an important method of rational art creation. Proposal is the continuity and expansion of sketch. It is more suitable for artists to express their philosophy and the diversified patterns of contemporary art and methods of exhibition. Proposal itself, has certain art value, it is the most direct embodiment of artist's idea and art creation. As an important creation method, proposal provides a clear rational creation route. With 'Proposal class' as the core of art creation teaching, running through relevant classes, it will not only construct a effective teaching system, but also a 'tranquilizer' of the frenzy caused by irrational trends of contemporary art.
