Pasternak, an outstanding poet, novelist and translator, has contributed his comprehensible knowledge and great works to the previous century of Russia and culture of the world, which is splendid and significant. Doctor Zhivago is the classic novel going beyond the age, which is an embodiment of his life-long thinking and creative essence. The present paper explores the connotation of works in terms of intertextuality between the set of poems and prose in Doctor Zhivago, so as to explore its writing style and structural features.The part of preface has summarized present studies on Doctor Zhivago, and pointed out the reasons and meaning for the study; it still explains the concept and connotation of theory of intertextuality and their relationship with the present study. Chapter two sums up the close intertextual relationship on the whole between the set of poems and prose, which shows that poetry and prose are two ways of speech to reveal his spiritual world for Pasternak who is a poet as well as a prose writer, which is also the reason for writing characteristics. It analyzes structure intertextuality between the set of poems and prose. The writer continues to interpret the religious implication in the novel, and illustrate the original intertextuality of Zhivago and Lara whose original images are Jesus and "medium bride" respectively in Christianity. intertextuality adopted by Zhivago under Russian religious and cultural context is a way to reflect religious culture bearing and continuity and express oneself. Chapter three mainly interprets some intertextual images in the texts of poems and prose, such as horse rider, dragon snake, intertextual images of hostile force. It also clearly states all these images occurred repeatedly are attached code designed by the author, which needs intertextuality to understand the profound meaning of the novel. In the end, writer concludes that the relationship of intertextuality between the set of poems and prose.
