The reform of the new turn of New Art Courses is based on the development of students, giving new requirements of art education and teaching. This provides new thoughts and promoting the development of art education and teaching effectively. But there are still many problems in practical art education that need resolving, of which two problems need our consideration particularly: the first is how to resolve the contradiction between the limited time of teaching and the unlimited resource of art courses itself; the second one is how to deal with the relationship of teaching art knowledge and the development of the students'quality and ability."the initial acquirement of human to the world is from entirety but it was disunited later."[1] It is the same as people's acquirement to art. Therefore, searching for a new way of art education and teaching by using the inside inherent relationship between art knowledge and craftsmanship and taking effective measures and rearranging the art education resources and making the students catch the basic law of art learning and a whole systematic recognition, then improving the efficiency and quality of art education. This is a tactics of the reform of new courses.Sketch has always been considered the basis of art learning. People's recognition of it continually increased with the development of the times and more frequency among international communication. The essential qualities and expansion are being enlarged. We can say that the meaning of the modern sketch has covered all art learning fields except special research on color. It is possible to resolve the two most difficult problems during compulsory education period by researching on the basic law of the sketch teaching and coordinating art teaching resources.Therefore, the research on my topic is not only exploring the law of basic sketch teaching but also doing research on it as a tool of coordinating art teaching resources. First, choosing the content which is meaningful and practical and can help the students master essential phenomenon and principles. Then overall planning them regarding the art education during the whole free education as a entirety, according to the basic regularity of the physical and mental development. Bringing them into their fullest play, improving the efficiency and quality of art education then carrying out the purpose of art education.The research of this topic can be divided into four parts: the first is to introduce the development of basic sketch education and its importance and to point out the purpose and significance of my research. The second is to comment on the essential education theory of the new courses and the development of modern sketch and the current situation of art education, which is also the background and starting point of the research on my topic. The third is to pose the main idea of my topic from the consideration and thought of the basic sketch teaching during free education period on the basis of analysis on the research on current sketch education. The forth is to expound detailed the designing aid principle and method of basic sketch teaching during free education period, to explore the feasibility of coordinating art teaching resources by using sketch basis theoretically and practically.The research of my topic is just an experiment and study according to relevant education and teaching theory in my long term art education work. It is still required to be tested and verified in art education and teaching practice.
