| By means of Semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, multivariate statistical and analysis method, preliminary empirical research is carried out on the competency modeling of judiciary police of Macao SAR.Some competency features in the inventory on competences of excellent judiciary police of Macao SAR are abstracted from the semi-structured interviews of 9 well-performed judiciary police of Macao SAR. Some are from the results of O*NET which is used to test two compared groups- high-performance group and average-performance group. Others date back to the relevant references on competences of police. These three sources compose the questionnaire on competency modeling of excellent judiciary police of Macao SAR. Through statistical tests, it turns out that competency modeling of judiciary police of Macao SAR includes: working skills (working skills), professional values (professional ethics, professional needs and working attitudes), and psychological and behavioral characteristics (cognitive ability, conduct force and coordinative and controlling ability).This research works out experimental discussion on establishing competency modeling of judiciary police of Macao SAR. The results not only offer comprehensive and objective competency standards for the appraisal of police, but also provide scientific criteria for selecting and cultivating judiciary police of Macao SAR. |
