| The literary creation of Sichuan region had been reviving and advancing during Ming dynasty. According to documents available, there were totally 614 persons engaged in writing in Sichuan of Ming dynasty, and more than 30 left about 50 works (including some anthologies). On the basis of comprehensive research on these authors and their creations and focuses on over 20 corpuses of 17 writers and some authors'anthologies, this thesis provided a "biography of the Ming dynasty writers of Sichuan ". In accordance with the principle of "four areas" and "three periods", this thesis conducts a preliminary discussion of writers of Sichuan in Ming dynasty as well as the development of literary creation of Sichuan".Four areas"refers to western Sichuan, central-northern Sichuan, southern Sichuan and eastern Sichuan."Three periods"refers to early stage (Hong-wu to Tian-shun period), intermediate stage (Cheng-hua to Long-qing period) and late stage (Wan-li to Chong-zhen period).The Preface introduces the administrative division, the geography, economy, culture and literature creation of ancient Sichuan and the population, economy and education of Sichuan in Ming dynasty. Meanwhile, it introduces studies on authors and works of Sichuan in Ming dynasty, the term of "Sichuan writer of Ming Dynasty" as well as the writers of Sichuan in Ming dynasty and their works. Chapter one expounds the writers of early Ming dynasty and their creations, centering on Zhu-chun, Yan-duo, Zhou hong-mo, Zhao-bi and so on. Chapter two discusses writers and creations in the four areas respectively, and mainly discusses the distribution character of writers. As to authors of western Sichuan, it centers on Zhu rang-xu and authors of his clan, Yang ting-he and his clan writers, authors of Yu clan in Meizhou, authors of Liu clan in Qiong zhou; As to authors of central-northern Sichuan, it centers on Ren han, Chen yi-qin and his son, Huang e and her family writers, Xie dong-shan and Liu yuan-kai; As to authors of southern Sichuan, it centers on Zhao Zhen-ji, Gao shi-yan, Liu rui, Xiong guo and Zeng yu; As to authors of eastern Sichuan, it centers on Zou zhi, Liu chun and his family writer, Zhang jia yin. Chapter three,"Sichuan late Ming Dynasty writer", mainly discusses Huang hui, Yin Shen and his daughter, Wang yu-zong, authors of Lv clan in Suining and authors of Fei clan in Xinfan. The"epilogue"is an analysis and an exposition about Sichuan's literary creation of Ming dynasty.Based on regional geography and culture of clans, the thesis mainly makes observation, research and exposition about more than 30 authors and 10 literary clans. It also verifies some writer's dates of birth and death, the origin of several authors, and corrects some records of the year of birth and death of some writers. What'more, it studies on a number of writers who attracted few attention of researchers, such as Zhang jia-yin, Zeng yu, Yin ren-rong and Gao shi-yan. This thesis sketches out a more comprehensive outlook of literary creations as well as the literary developments of Ming Sichuan, aiming at providing some helps for the study on Sichuan Literature of Ming dynasty, and for the study of the whole Ming Literature. |
