The research investigated 355 technical students, undergraduates, graduates from 4 universities or colleges in Shanghai, developed Career Choice Attitude Inventory(CCAI). CCAI was made up of 4 subtests: (1)decisiveness in making a career choice;(2)more active involvement in the process; (3)independence in decision making an opposed to reliance on others;(4)the ability to compromise between one's own needs and reality. The reliability and validity of the inventory were more satisfied, and the CCAI combined with Career Decision-Making Self-efficacy Scale(CDMSE) to form Career Maturity Model after data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis. One purpose of the study was to explore the difference of subject variables in collegian's career choice attitude inventory. The results indicated as following:1. There were significant differences of means for gender, degree and discipline in the involvement dimension. Female students', technical students'and art students'scores were higher than male students', undergraduates'and science students'.2. There were significant differences of means for age, degree and native place in the independent dimension. The scores of students above 25 years old, graduate and students from country were higher than 22-24 years old students, undergraduate and students from Shanghai and town.3. There were significant differences of means for gender, degree in the compromise dimension. The scores of students above 27 years old were lower than students below 27.Undergraduates'scores were higher than graduates and technical students.Another purpose of the study was to examine the relation of career choice attitude to career decision-making self-efficacy, achievement motive and personality. Multiple linear regression analysis suggested that:1. Decisiveness could be predicted by self -appraisal and problem-solving in CDMSE, multiple motive and Y1 in 16PF.2. Involvement could be predicted by the sum score of CDMSE.3. Independence could be predicted by self -appraisal in CDMSE, multiple motive and Y4 in 16PF.4. Compromise could be predicted by Y1, Y2 and Y4 in 16PF.
