Among the New Mian Tang School artists, professor Tanbaramdan, a respected Tangka painter in Fine Art Department of Art Institute at Tibet University, took Tangka of the New Mian Tang School into the university classroom. Through the deep interview with professor Tanbaramdan, the analysis to his Tangka works, and the field visits to the professor's university teaching place, creative room, and pigment factory, the thesis author collects and analyzes professor Tanbaramdan's attribution to Tangka drawing, thus the evolution of values of the New Mian Tang School in contemporary is revealed. As a regional art model, one of the issues that must be thought about in the field of Cultural Anthropology is how the New Mian Tang School should develop in contemporary, and the other is what its developing trend in contemporary is. The importance of the New Mian Tang School Tangka drawing in contemporary lies in the secularized process of its religious meaning. Because of its ongoing civil and secular, Buddhism's ablation of the self-desire into a self-forgetful situation is gradually replaced by the wide use of Buddhist moral principles in secular context. With the urbanization of Lhasa, the New Main Tang School is given the new meaning, namely the religious significance of everyday life replaces the self-forgetful religion. The civil process of Tangka is actually the civil process of a certain culture. In this secular context, the cultural religious significance of the New Mian Tang School Tangka is gradually integrated into the daily lives.
