In the current world, more and more foreigners are yearning to learn the Chinese language. As a consequence, wide opportunities exist for Chinese teachers for teaching foreigners. Currently the methodology used to teach Chinese language is adopted from that of European languages. In the long term, the current teaching method will not be able to reflect the unique features of Chinese language which will eventually lead to difficulties in teaching the language. This thesis is based on research conducted on Chinese and English language. The main objective of the research is to seek differences in the way of thinking of Chinese speakers and English speakers. Based on the differences found, it will help foreigners to learn and understand Chinese language in the correct way. From the olden days, natural geographical location of Chinese speakers and English speakers plays an important role in affecting their way of thinking. From understanding the differences of the English Independent Thinking vs. Chinese Integrated Thinking , English speakers are found to emphasize on Subject vs. Chinese speakers emphasize on Subject-Object, English Abstract Thinking vs. Chinese Iconic Thinking, English Rationality vs. Chinese Wuxing, English Analysis Thinking vs. Chinese Whole Thinking, Chinese Dialectical Thinking, it proved that the way of thinking made English and Chinese has its own uniqueness. Therefore teaching foreigners the Chinese language, teachers should not only literally impart the language; they should also consider imparting the way of thinking of the language. In this way, it will enable foreigners to understand the differences in way of thinking in Chinese and English language.
