Generally based on one or a variety of teaching methods, teaching mode can be the combination of a variety of teaching methods according to each stage. It can also be the paradigm which takes one particular teaching method as the core. It has been nearly three years since Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language formally developed as a subject. During this period a large number of teaching models, teaching ways and teaching cases emerged which have great practical value. This dissertation summarizes the teaching modes which are being used or used in teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and introduces six teaching modes in detail, which are Middlebury language-teaching model based on behaviorism in the United States, Experiential Chinese based on constructivism and cognitivism in Thailand, South Korea's Samsung mode that the main characteristics are the immersing method and task basing method, the Tutorial remote Chinese language teaching in Japan, Lesang Bai's Word-based teching mode in France. There are some main characteristics in these teaching modes:To the teaching method and language study, culture and education policy,the state and national character in the learners' country,they have a deep understanding,and then they can see the learners'interest and exciting point.respect their learning habits, and find out the integrated point between its own nation and the learners'; scientific evaluation mechanism, complete executing plan,scalization and standardization can avoid the arbitrary of teaching research,reduce the waste of teaching resources and human resources.We belive that a single teaching mode based on the theory can not meet the needs of students facing the foreign language learners which have complex composition.A good teaching mode should contains three factors:flexible,open,plural and aiming at its own students.Therefore, we considered the characteristics of Chinese itself and designed a Foreign Language Teaching mode with three stages:the primary stage whic focus on solving the problem of Chinese characters and Chinese language system, the intermediate stage which take Lexical Chunks and the Sentence Models as the basic unit of teaching; advanced stage taking the Theater thoery as a carrier encourage students to make the language output and creation.
