Public Logo Design Applied Research

Nowadays the design of public sign is in a situation of dilemma. On one hand, the development of global economy makes communication between countries more and more closer. In order to make people of different education background understood meaning of public signs, we have to standardize it in countries, morever, in global world, to express it's function. On the other hand, people doubted about sober, rational and efficient designs in face of multidesign age. What people need is different and the world should be colourful. Modern people chase easy-going, humorous and happy psychoneed. Thus, individual signs of great interests and entertainment can work out good. This thesis works on how to deal with standardization and individulization of public design.There are four chapters about this article. First one mainly discusses related definition of public sign; second one analyses the development of public design with the influence of global economy; third one works on the necessity and inevitability of standardizing public design about figure sign and spread; fourth one analyzes designs and applications about public sign, then brings forward some development suggestions.
