This study aim to make clear the influence that the Design Council of UK bring to UK design public policy through it's activity over 60 years. And on this base, my study try to discuss the station and functions of a design promote organization in design public policy, and the relationships between the organization and other factors of design public policy system.UK is the first country who put design into the light of policy, and the UK Design Council is a design council which of the longest history in the world. From a history point of view, the more than 60 years activity of UK Design Council is go with the development of British contemporary design. From a industry policy point of view, the UK Design Council functions as an instrumentality which between the British governments, corporations, design organizations, individual designers, education and scientific research institutions, it join together various of factors in design area, hastened the course of UK design industrialization. From the theory and practice point of view, the UK Design Council have extensive scopes of it's activity, include consultation, exhibition, design education, awards, design research, design criticism, and the development of design methods and tools, through it's numerous and permanent support to design, the UK Design Council impelled the establishment and advancement of UK contemporary design standard. After 2000, the UK Design Council influences in all levels of UK design public policy as an "integrator of resources".The UK Design Council aims to the development of creativity that from design to industry and all parts of UK economic system in recent years. Through my study of one of the most important design promote agency, we can discern the interaction between individuals, organizations, governments and public in British "Creative Economic ", it will make us go deep into understand of the historical venation and value connotation of Creative Industry which is be in the ascendant and like a raging fire of UK and all of the world, and it will provide an realistic reference to the development of Chinese design industry and "Creative Economic ". So far, there is no any design promote agency in China can make comparatively ability in degree and highness. Make clear the influences that UK Design Council bring to British design public policy and the mechanism of these influences can provide us an useful reference to the construction of Chinese design public policy.
