Mr. Ying Shangneng is one of the singers and vocal music educationalists in Chinese modern music history[0] who have made the earliest research and introduction about the European vocal music art. He has made great contribution in the field of vocal music teaching, not only has outstanding achievements in the vocal music teaching's practice and the song creation, but also had the unique penetrating opinion in the educology. He is confident and devotes all his life for China vocal music education. In decades of teaching career he has made tremendous achievements in the art of vocal music teaching, formed his own set of teaching system ,cultured a lot of famous vocalists and educationalist.In his life, he has created more than 150 first vocal music works, and enriched the contents of vocal music teaching. In his later years under difficult conditions, Ying Shangneng insisted on writing down his academic achievements to posterity, and composed a book of"Yi Zi Xing Qiang"and so on.He has made great contribution in the sang, the teaching, the creation and the scientific research. He made indelible contribution which promoted the development of China vocal music art.
