| Research on languages, either diachronically or synchronically, has always considerable relations with the comparison and contrast between languages, by which we comprehend our own language clearly and thoroughly, and deal with the linguistic facts objectively, as well. The comparative study on Chinese and English has done for centuries, with tremendous achievements and to a certain extent, the study on Chinese grammar cannot ignore the contrastive analysis with England language."le(了)"as one of the most active auxiliary word, has long been a hot topic in academic circle, focusing on its classification, its grammatical connotation and its aspect signal and so on. Thorough as the study of"le"has been,"le"is still a difficult language point for foreign students to master in TCFL.In TCFL, teachers'media language in classroom and text annotative language are mostly English; therefore to study the translation of"le"in English is an effective approach for further comprehension of"le". For the convenience of contrastive analysis, we classified"le"into four in accordance with its adherence: Predicate+"le", predicate + object+"le", predicate + complement +"le", and predicate +object +complement+"le"or predicate + complement + object +"le". We find that"le"is closest to the"past tense"in English, overdoing its correspondence to the"perfect". The proportion that"le"and its adhering components are represented by the use of"tense"in English is much larger than the use of"aspect". Through the statistic analysis, we conclude that"le"can stand for the senses of"past","perfect","future"and"mood"."le"frequently appears at the primary stage of TCFL and its introduction and its teaching subsequence are distractive in different text books. After detailed analysis of the teaching subsequence and their characteristics of three textbooks, we propose, both one the base of contrastive results and on the principle of integrating form with sense, the teaching subsequence of"le":"mood"→"future"→"prefect"→"past".Studying the characteristics of the auxiliary word"le"by analyzing its translation in English is one of effective researching approaches which we also prospect in the thesis. |
