The Westlake Exposition in 1929 was a fair which was named "expo" only and was the most representative one. To an exposition, design is very important. Then, National Academy of Art was founded soon, and ensured design level of the exposition. The teachers and the students of the academy showed their integrated abilities for the first time. This thesis studies on the Westlake Exposition from the point of design, and develop as follows: operation modes, exposition-place and pavilion design, VI design, interaction with class, and the influence of the main designer in the group on the exposition design. The author tries to describe the design image of the Westlake Exposition, and analyze the complicated relations among design, economy, culture, education and social life. |
