The subject of the thesis is six-minister system in Jin Dynasty. Six-minister system is a peculiar political system in Jin Dynasty of Chun Qiu Dynasty. Six ministers are generals and assistants of three armies. System of six ministers is a political system that six ministers are at the highest position and in charge of military and political affairs in Jin Dynasty. It plays an important part in history of Jin Dynasty. I collect material from"Zuo Zhuan","Guo Yu"and other history documents and try to expound six-minister system as comprehensively as possible at the basis of predecessors'achievements. In the preface, I summarize predecessors'related achievements and find out the depth of the study to the subject. Predecessors'related achievements are an important platform of my thesis. In the first chapter, I expose the process of six-minister system at two stages. There is a history process between the appearance of six ministers and establishment of six-minister system, which have been advanced but not explained in detail in predecessors'achievements, so I explained the process of establishment of six-minister system in detail. In the second chapter, I expose the main contents of six-minister system in the fields of structure, function, position and history changes. Six ministers consist of the general of Zhong Jun, the assistant of Zhong Jun, the general of Shang Jun, the assistant of Shang Jun, the general of Xia Jun and the assistant of Xia Jun. The lower levels are subordinate to the higher levels. The functions of six ministers contain military functions, political functions and diplomatic functions and so on. Six ministers are at the highest position in Jin Dynasty. They monopolize the title of minister gradually. Six-minister system changes in the form and content along with the time. The change of the form refers to the increase or reduction of the number of ministers. The change of the content is that six ministers change from a senior department under monarch to the core of leadership of Jin Dynasty. I try to expose the main contents of six-minister system at the basis of a vast amount of documents. In the third chapter, I research the persons in six-minister system thoroughly. This part includes the candidate, heredity and promotion of six ministers. On the question of candidate, I don't divide the candidate into"Gong Zu"and"Yi Xing"just like most other learners, because I think the difference between"Gong Zu"and"Yi Xing"in Jin Dynasty is not obvious. I expound most of six ministers come from old and well-known families and six positions for minister are occupied by six families, in the end they are monopolized by the families of Zhao, Wei, Han, Fan, Zhong Xing and Zhi. On the question of heredity, I expound the heredity of six ministers begin from the late period of Jin Xiang Gong and which can be heritable is the title of minister but not the position of minister. On the question of promotion, I think the principle of promotion of six ministers is formed from Xi Que as prime minister. The principle is that six ministers promote in proper order and every family holds the post of prime minister in turn.In the fourth chapter, I expose the influence of six-miniser system to the politics of Jin Dynasty simply. It plays a positive role in the supremacy of Jin Dynasty and it is also releted to the division and collapse of Jin Dynasty at last.
