Interpretation Of The Artistic Symbol Of Linguistics

Symbol has always been an important theoretical study for the art subject, whose study has affected many areas. It has centralized and systematic exposition mainly in semiotics, hermeneutics, linguistics and anthropology, folk culture and arts study, etc. In the literature and art field it involves issues of human symbol and spiritual world, the survival experience and understanding of the relationship between symbols and uncertainty of meanings in itself. Thus the studies of symbol are somehow inevitable whether from the text or from the accepter point. The article will attempt to symbolize takes a system structure to grasp, which benefits from a linguistics theory. This is done by two linguists, one is Saussure, Switzerland's structuralism linguist, and the other is Jacobsen who belongs to the Russia formalism and is the enlightenment of the Bragg language school and has developed Saussure's theory.The achievement of the two is the language structure pattern analysis of the language structure itself. Saussure thinks that the relationship among the symbols includes transverse and longitudinal polymerization, known as the syntagmatic and paradigmatic relation. Syntagmatic relation is a lasting relation of the present elements while paradigmatic relation is a group of words on the same level, and stands for the relationship between the present and absent elements. Jacobsen puts forward two models which is Metaphor and Metonymy through research on aphasia, and points out that this model can not only be used in language symbol system (Literature), but also be used in other non-verbal symbol system (Art). That is, all the literary and artistic symbols which can express human's thinking (including language symbol system and non-system sign language) have the metaphor-Metonymy model. This practice combines the author and the work research together, which provides a new angle of view for the study of literature art.Language was the direct reality for thought, and the language structure has manifested the human thinking pattern. Symbol is a special way to express the human thought and also one kind of language forms. Therefore, it also has the universal structure whose characteristic correspond Jakobson's metaphor and metonymy pattern in the performance. Be it an existence of human beings', or the way of thinking or a method of artistic expression, symbol has the same structure, including the symbols, beings symbol stands for as well as relations between the two elements.According the relationship between the two elements, general symbol can be summed up in two types, the public symbol in which contiguous thought is outstanding feature, and the personal symbol in which individual imagination is emphasized. The two types respectively refer to the two patterns of metaphor and metonymy. But in artistic practice, symbol performance can be affected by many factors thus has the deviation of the pattern. According to Jakobson, language structure research and artistic symbol performance research union in one through the intermediary of thought. The article attempts to obtain a new prospect of the arts'symbol study.The first part of the article is the theory upholstery. The second chapter mainly talks about the relation between symbol and language. The relations between language and thought is explained, and then the conjunction of symbol and language structure. In final section of this part, the article points out the difference between the general thoughts and art performance referring to the influential factors. This part is the premise theory of the whole article. The third chapter elaborates the art symbol's performance deviation for several influential factors through examples, which is also the practice of analyzing art symbol method from linguistics perspective. This chapter divides into four sections which separately give some examples to elaborate different characteristics of art symbol performance under the influence of arts'type factor, the time factor, the cultural element as well as the individual factor.
