The thesis has studied about that modern Japanese personal pronouns and has summed up the related advance research. And the priority angle from pragmatics has carried out analysis on Japanese personal pronouns. The emphasis of the thesis is about the examination of the use of modern Japanese personal pronouns and the comparison between Japanese and Chinese personal pronouns. Firstly, through the inspection of several influential Japanese grammarians whether uses Japanese pronouns into a category to see the belongings of personal pronouns in the category. Secondly, sees the history and development of frequent pronouns. Then, through the form the comparison between Japanese and Chinese exams the situation of quantity and frequency about the Japanese personal pronouns, analyses the phenomenon of replacement and neglect. Lastly, uses the frequent secondly personal pronouns to contrast and analyze how to deal with personal pronouns in translation.
