Modern Chinese and modern Spanish belong to different language families. The personal pronouns in the two languages have similarities and differences in terms of form, source, unreality and generalized usage.Spanish is a member of the Indo-European-Romance family. The personal pronouns of Spanish are often expressed as rich verb variations. In Chinese, there is no concept of sex, number,or lattice. These differences will make Spanish-speaking students have negative transfer and casue confusion while learning Chinese. However, limited researches have been done on the acquisition of Chinese personal pronouns for native speakers of Spanish. The author was fortunate to have the chance to go to Chile as a one-year volunteer for the Confucius Institute. Therefore, based on the author's one-year teaching practice in Chile, this article draws on the corpus of senior Chinese learners in the local Confucius Classrooms and the corpus of elementary Chinese learners from the local primary schools. On this basis, the biases of personal pronouns of Chilean Chinese learners with different Chinese proficiency levels were summarized, and the main types of bias errors were summed up.From this, the biased features of the personal pronouns of Chilean Chinese learners with intermediate Chinese and advanced Chinese were found. Then the author focuses on the causes of bias errors from the perspective of the language contrast between Chinese and Western languages. Finally,it proposes constructive teaching suggestions and teaching designs that can be implemented for overseas teaching of Spanish-speaking students. This article analyzes and discusses the personal pronoun bias of Chilean Chinese learners in the process of acquiring of Chinese language skills. It has the pertinence of country-specificity.At the same time,it is found that the types of personal pronoun bias of Chilean students and Spanish-speaking examinees are mainly concentrated on misuse, omission, misuse and misordering.Missing and misuse are among the top two in the type of personal pronoun bias in Chilean students and Spanish speakers. The sum of the proportions of the two types of errors was 74.8% and 76.3% respectively for Chilean students and the Spanish-speaking candidates. Therefore,it is concluded that in the teaching process of personal pronouns,it is necessary to focus on this characteristic and assist students to learn Chinese personal pronouns better.
