The Twentieth Century Cultural And Industrial Characteristics And Development Trend

The rise and development of culture industry were the most dramatic changes in the history of culture since the 20th century. As a worldwide cultural trend at present, culture industry predominates in the culture development, which is beyond doubt. Traditional culture industrial theory is limited to specified historical situations and totally negative attitudes and criticism towards culture industry has already lost it's historical vitality. Therefore, as for culture industry and it's characteristics under different social backgrounds, the searching of a new way to define and classify culture industry and it's denotation and connotation, especially under the circumstances of China's legal developing context at present, has important theoretical significance and realistic value. This paper tries to make a new position about the related theories of culture industry and gives insights into culture industry's history, present and future from relatively objective perspective. The author will try to find out effective methods to the questions hoping to make some discoveries in this field.
