The Ancient Chinese Drama Crying Scene Study

A subject of this paper is about the birth, existence, and display of a typical style of grief in Chinese opera. We can name the typical style with KuXi,and summarize its humanist spirit, artistic feature and appreciation of the beauty. The first part of paper is mainly about the early form of KuXi and the relation between early Chinese opera and cry. The second part is a exhibition of the humanist spirit and society in KuXi . The third and the final part are important in the paper. In the third part, the artistic feature and form were summarized from literature and performance. In the final part, we finished a comparison between Tragedy and KuXi, and found the special beauty and feeling of KuXi. In the whole study, the emotion is a key point, it is helpful for a study on humanist spirit and artistic feature of KuXi. An analysis about Tragedy and KuXi is another key point of the paper , Tragedy and KuXi are not always same, in fact, the difference between Tragedy and KuXi can be just characterized the special feature of KuXi . In addition,an angle of view of folklore was used in the paper. It can help us to understand the connection between the Chinese folk custom of cry and KuXi. At the same time, it can become a new point in appreciation of beauty from culture. KuXi is a new word in the paper, just by it, an exact scope of study can be gotten, and also, the study can be successfully finished.
