Poetry Year-Selection, as the annual screening of Chinese New Poetry, has become a unique landscape with the way it published in the history of Chinese poetry. The Editing Department of Poetry Journal (Shi Kan) not only published the Selected Poems after the Cultural Revolution so as to arrange the poems with a bird's-eye view of the 30 years during 1949-1947 of the Poetic circles, but after that they kept editing and selecting poetry anthologies in the flowing consecutive years, and worked to preserve it as a tradition. In the early 1990s, this kind of selected poems had a hard time maintaining published. Similarly, among the Year-Selections of the 1980s and 1990s, there were other three anthologies, that is, the Chinese New Poetry Year-Selection (Zhong Guo Xin Shi Nian Xuan) selected and edited by the CASS Institute of Contemporary Literature, Chinese Yearbook of Poetry (Zhong Guo Xin Shi Nian Jian) edited by Lv Jin and Mao Han from Institute of China New Poetry in Southwest Normal University, and National Press of Poetry Essence (Quan Guo Shi Ge Ji Cui) edited by Poetry Newspaper. They all disappeared in the Year-Selection Market after a few series were published.Until 1999, the Editing Department of Poetry Journal (Shi Kan) began to edit and select poems again, which had different and strong respond from the readers in the cultural market. After republished two more times, the sales of 30,000 copies made it lead the Year-Selection Poetry Markets. From the late 1990s to the year the author was writing 2008, in such a short span of less than 10 years, Year-Selected Poetry as one of the text among all the various categories of literature selections has been planned by regular publishing house and becoming a continuous publication by achieving as many as five or six versions. This paper is based on object of Year-Selection Poetry, to explore the characteristics from the internal evolution of the Year-Selection Poetry, on the other hand which is more important is to profoundly analyze from the external view of the cultural phenomenon that the Year-Selection Poetry withdrew the markets after the hard time maintaining themselves and the second stage of the'Selection Heat', figuring out the internal meaning of Year-Selection Poetry in the production of culture.The first chapter is based on four versions of Poetry Anthologies from the late 1970s to early 1990s as the major study object, not only analyze the situation of the poems and the poetic circle from internal view, but also analyzing the crisis of survival reflected by the fragmentation from the Year-Selection Publication from the external view.Chapter 2 is based on'Selection Fever'as the study object during the late 1990s, among all the published Poetry Anthologies in series, to analyze their similar differences by using the method in Statistics, as well as the professional comments towards the poetic circles made by each editor. Analyzing the poetic thinking reflected from the'official'and'civil'dual discussion in the Year-Selections. From the Statistics studies on the common origins of the selected poems to analyze the important impact on the forming Poetry Journal (Shi Kan). Meantime, the poems in this election for the "classic" in the activities of shape, for its open and thinking, explain this era of classical poetry to the production and the possible.Chapter 3 is based on'Selection Fever'as a cultural phenomenon to conduct the research, to analyze under the social context where the Year-Selection existed, looking at the role Year-Selecton Poetry played in the consumer culture productions, and how the trend of contemporary consumer culture on the prevalence had the impact on the development of contemporary poetry. Then by analyzing the era of mass media in the election of poetry production, in the publishing market, editors and audience, reveal the fundamental cause of'Selection Fever'.To analyze, research, showing for the purpose, I believe that in today's consumer culture under the influence of context, Year-Selection Poetry as a text of publication under the join forces of the art and market, shows that the rich characteristic and also reflect the possibilities of unlimited artistic thinking. It is not only simple text-level value behind the poems, but historical, cultural, social, and other aspects presence of the value.
