On the basis of previous studies,this thesis is trying to compare the acquisition of comparative sentence in the first language and in the second language by using cognitive linguistics and other theories of language acquisition combined with a lateral experiment of children in kindergarten and a vertical track of two Beijing children,a boy and a girl. We collected the Language materials of comparative sentence in Chinese children language acquisition(2;0-5;0)and the Language materials of comparative sentence used by foreign students.The acquisition of comparisive sentence for children is directly affected by the psychological development of children and different stages of language acquisition.In the process of the acquisition of comparative sentence,children make mistakes like confusing the subjects's position of comparive sentence,mixing the comparative formats or negative formats.In the process of second language acquisition , students make mistakes like mixing formats , adding the conclusive adjective and the qualifier,or confusing the negative formats. This thesis analyses these types of mistakes,considering different levels of cognition and language migration as the main causes of these mistakes.This thesis also depicts the developing sequence of comparative sentence in first language acquisition.The successful acquisition of comparative sentence in children can be used as reference in the second language teaching of comparative sentence.In conclusion,in class,special training should be targeted against these mistakes.By using guided recessive-correcting methods,teachers will help students to make sentences of correct grammatical structures without depressing students'interest of expressing.
