Based on the 1-5 years old Mandarin child language material, this article describes the condition of preposition acquisition of Mandarin child and discusses some related theoretical issues.This article is divided into 9 chapters. The introduction part has a brief introduction of research status, method and usage of language material. In chapter 1-7, there is a more detailed description of the condition of the child's acquisition of subject-case, object-case, adjacency-case, transit-case, origination-case, location-case, goal-case, basis-reason-case, relevance-case prepositions from syntax, semantics and pragmatic three aspects. Chapter 8 discusses the psychology and linguistic foundations, the phase and the sequence of the child's acquisition of prepositions. At last, the article compares the process of child's acquisition of prepositions with the grammaticalization of prepositions in the history of Chinese.According to the article, the phase and sequence that presented in the child's acquisition of prepositions was decided by the difficulty of semantic cognition, adult language inputting frequency, language development strategy and other factors. There are some similarities between the process of child's acquisition of prepositions and the course of the grammaticalization of prepositions in the history of Chinese, this is not an accidental phenomenon, they have deep-seated reasons.
