Image Of Intellectuals. Century Institute Of Novels At The Turn Of Deconstruction

In our subconscious, the university is always filled with idealism and romanticism, where knowledge and truth are born and extents. Teachers at the universities who undertake "the responsibilities to transmit wisdom, instructs knowledge and resolve doubt" have been entrusted with the lofty social status: they are the representative of the most advanced human culture, the founder and disseminator of the social spiritual civilization. But at the turning of the century, because of the violent impact of commodity economy tide, the university is no longer at innocent land. The intermediate and senior intellectuals once appearing as the torchbearer have fallen into confusion, encountered the most severe challenge and formed the multiplex personalities. Therefore, we have noticed writers have taken the image of university teachers as the carrier into their novels, and described their emotion and desires in various ways, which finally removed the sacred corona from them and exposed them as the ordinary community which is nothing different and full of desires.This article elaborates the mind state and it's origin of academic intellectuals through the analysis of the intellectual images in academic theme novels at the turning of the century, which consists of the foreword, the four chapter of main body and conclusion. The foreword briefly narrates the historical evolution and the present research situation of intellectual theme novel and the basis and theories of my topic selection. The first chapter analyzes the characteristic of intellectual image in intellectual theme novels at the turning of the century, mainly analyzes the state of mind of academic intellectuals under the impact of the current market economy tide. The second chapter elaborates the origin of appearance of intellectual image in academic theme novels at the turning of the century, which has been explored from academic intellectuals theme and the development process of the contemporary novel under the historical and realistic background. The third chapter inquired into the purpole of writer's creation of academic intellectuals at the turning of the century, mainly analyzes writer's real intention of creating there intellectual images, from which we can see the writer's social responsibilities. The fourth chapter analyzed the development process and the limitation of creation of academic theme novel at the turning of the century, mainly analyzed the writing stylization and representation of the current academic theme novels. The conclusion part illustrates the research of academic intellectual images is the important domain of intellectual image research and development, as well as the significance of the research at this domain.
