Variable (z). Of Shanghai Dialect Study

The thesis is to study the infiltration from official language(Putong Hua) to regional dialect.I investigate the variable(z) which contains the CONG in Shanghai urban dialect.My method is a questionnaire and rapid anonymous investigation.Through analysis I conclude:First this change can show by the age gender and district differentiaiton.The age variation shows the beginning of change is about 1956,because in this year PutongHua as an official language begin to be taught.The gender variation shows the index of woman is higher than this of man,but when in informal stylistic,the index of woman is lower,because they have the responsible for teaching children's dialect.The district variation shows the language of people living in the center of shanghai is more traditional than those who live in the other places.Second the spoken word is the lastest change word.Third this investigation has two contexts which show five different styles.The most formal style is the conclusion of minimal pairs investigation and the most informal style is the conclusion of the anonymous investigation.
