| Since the 20's in 20 centuries it be born, Chinese race opera , which is continuously creative, have already walked through the turns and twists process for more than 80 years. Chinese original traditional work, such as《Red armed escort in the Hong lake》,《Xiaoerhei matrimonies》,《Sister Jiang》etc. ,has deeply planted a root in Chinese civil music. These works, which closely combine with race drama, left a deep impression to numerous hearts of audiences. However, the wheel of time can never stop. As age is developing and society is changing, the changing of people's life will inevitably bring a huge impact to Chinese race opera, particularly to the national minority opera. The successful perform of Mongolia clan opera《The Legend of Wood Carving》not only promoted the business of Chinese national minority opera the further development, but also provided precious experience for the development of Chinese national minority vocal music. This thesis will temporary lay aside other aspects of opera, and mainly analyze and discuss concretely on the aspect of vocal music. The thesis structure is altogether divided into 4 chapters:Chapter 1 mainly introduces the Mongolia traditional culture and "The Legend of Wood Carving". The Mongolia clan is a race who is good at both singing and dancing. Their history is long, and their music culture is abundant. The characteristics of Mongolia traditional music culture is mainly reflected in melody, rhythm, adjust type of adjusts and structure etc.. The traditional music of Mongolia clan can be divided into civil music, religious music and palace music three major types. And this text emphasizes on introducing the civil music of the Mongolia clan. According to the characteristics of the music form, The Mongolia clan civil music can be divided into folk song, instrumental music, say and sing music, song and dance music and drama music(Mongolia play) etc.. Opera《the legend of wood carving》is created on the basis of all above advantages of the traditional music culture of the Mongolia clan .Chapter 2 is the important part of this thesis. It emphasizes on analyzing the type of sing and the concretely sing segment of opera《the legend of wood carving》. Opera《the legend of wood carving》's sing type is enrich. By reserving the special Mongolia traditional features, people adopt the method of the Vocals sing to sing on stage and regardless of aria, recitative or duet and ensemble , all have special features. And a lot of vocal music songs, such as《Ah! Long living a day》,《Never Separate》,《Beautiful legend》etc. is regarded as classic. This chapter will analyze some certain segments deeply, and the ingenious part of opera《the legend of wood carving》will be represented and summarized completely here.Chapter 3 will introduce the special sing features and contributions of opera《the legend of wood carving》. This is also a point part of this thesis. The contribution of Opera《the legend of wood carving》in the aspects of sing on stage is huge. It insists on Mongolia traditional music features, and at the same time it also bravely absorbs experiences of the western opera creations and sing type. The opera created a successful model for the development of national minority opera of our country.Chapter 4 introduces opera《the legend of wood carving》's profound influence and important apocalypse. Firstly, strongly developing the national minority opera art is necessarily going.
