"border Town" Pastoral Narrative Research

As a poetics category,Pastoral has a long history,it shows its own characteristics during the process of sinicizing.< Frontier Town > is the representative work of pastoral narrative,which elucidates the two aspects of Pastoral,and setting an example of pastoral narrative.Those Space,Time,Visual-Angle and Image such narrative elements play an important role during the construction of < Frontier Town >,endowing the fiction with the pastoral characteristics.The author's managing of Space and Time provides the frontier town the possibility of being a Utopia which could compare with the traditional Peach-Blossom-Eden,at the same time this Space-Time structure implicates the existing of monody.In the chosen of Visual-Angle,the author uses Omniscient Visual-Angle to show the picture of Utopia,and the using of Limited Visual-Angle shows the conflict between the Utopia and its downfall,then providing the basic to the monody.The element of Image prompts the plot of the story,at the same time,under the reasonable use of Image,< Frontier Town > shows its relationship with classical literature,filling the text with classical aesthetic flavor.
