Congwen's works in the academic world is not so smooth.Strictly speaking,people's research on Shen Congwen's works began with the article "The Tendency and Artistic Features of Shen Congwen's Novels"published by Ling Yu in the 1980s.After Ling Yu,Shen Congwen's works were re-discovered like treasures buried for a long time.And explore and study it from different angles.At present,researchers have carried out a panoramic exploration and analysis of Shen Congwen's novels from different angles,especially the Xiangxi series of novels,which is a hot topic of academic concern.Its content not only involves sociology,folklore,but also narrative.Learning,aesthetics,etc.,but in the study of many Xiangxi novels,there are very few spatial narratives involved.This paper intends to carry out in-depth analysis and exploration of Shen Congwen's novels from the perspective of spatial narrative.Before discussing the spatial narrative of Xiangxi's novels,this paper first discusses the spatial narrative theory in the introduction.This part focuses on the source of foreign spatial narratives and the difficult development process.During this period,important theories of important figures played a decisi,ve role in spatial narrative.Secondly,it discusses the conceptual problem of spatial narrative.The literary space problem,which was first noticed and studied by the American critic Joseph Frank,put forward the concept of "spatial form"in 1945,and combined with many Western modern classics to explore the hidden behind it.Space form problem.After Frank,many researchers also began to study the narrative text from a spatial perspective and achieved remarkable results.Finally,this paper also makes a detailed interpretation of Foucault's space theory.Foucault believes that space has an invisible sense of political power.This kind of political power consciousness acts on the body through space,and it exercises certain punishments and this paper studies the causes of the spatial narrative of Shen Congwen's Xiangxi novels.Shen Congwen's growth experience and spatial experience in Xiangxi gave him a great influence.This experience and feelings imperceptibly influenced his future writing.The experience of entering the city in adulthood and returning home for the first time in 1934 gave him a great influence.This different life experience led him to have different narrative characteristics when he was shaping Xiangxi.When he was a child and first entered the city,Shen Congwen praised Xiangxi.Especially in the dark days when he first arrived in Beijing,he made a great beautification of Xiangxi,trying to confront the beauty of Xiangxi with the city and intellectuals..When he returned to his hometown for the first time,he found that everything is different.The good humanity is gradually disappearing,and people's life and mental state are gradually becoming decadent.He once again observed and thought about what he had neglected before,and hoped to use the novel to reveal Xiangxi.The roots of human tragedy reshape the national character.The third chapter discusses the specific spatial narrative and function of Shen Congwen's Xiangxi novels and the structural characteristics of space.The specific spaces mainly include closed natural space,complex social space and primitive cultural space.The closed natural space is caused by the geographical environment of Xiangxi.Such a closed space causes people to sever the connection with the outside world.The mind and body are disciplined by this natural space.Therefore,the people who sink from the writings are kind and pure.But at the same time they are also superstitious and ignorant.The complex social space is divided into three types related to people:pure interpersonal relationships,honest and simple folk customs,and folk stereotypes.The construction of social space helps to reveal the status quo of society and explore the creative motives of writers.The cultural space is infiltrated and immersed in people's daily lives,and it is always punishing and disciplined people's body and spirit.Therefore,the construction of cultural space is also a key link to promote the development of the plot and construct the narrative context.In terms of the structural features of the novel,the most prominent features are the ring structure and the nested structure.The ring structure implies a cycle of the tragic fate of the character.The nested structure extends the story of the story invisibly.The fourth chapter explores the power politics of
