It is convinced by foreign cross-culture research that when overseas come back to their country they would encounter converse culture shock and need repatriation adjustment American psychologist Berry J.W said acculturation is a dynamic and long process and advanced 4 decision-makings of people's acculturation: assimilation, integration, separation and marginalization. Korea cross-culture researcher Kim, YongYun summarized 5 factors which could effect acculturation during long-term research: interpersonal communication, communication with new society's culture, communication with own society's culture, new culture's social circumstance and personal factor.Thereout the writer started a demonstration research of Shanghai returned overseas Chinese's repatriation adjustment, aiming to know the culture adjustment of those people by questionnaire survey and deeply interview. According to Berry J.W and Kim, YongYun's acculturation theories the writer designed questionnaire, and analyzed culture shock when Shanghai returned overseas Chinese first came back, their work, life and their repatriation culture adjustment status now. At last the writer re-considered fore theories of acculturation. It's found Shanghai returned overseas Chinese's converse culture shock is light and superficial. They show a good adjustment about domestic interpersonal and social communication. They use mass media frequently to get information and as a whole their repatriation adjustment is good. But there're also problems we must pay attention to, such as their discomfort of living pace, view of value, obtain employment, personal health, government service and so on. Main founding of the research including the degree of converse culture shock and the time length oversea has correlation, and the degree of repatriation adjustment has correlations with interpersonal communication, social communication, usage frequency of mass media and personal culture adjustment decision-makings.
