During World War ?,overseas Chinese living in Thailand returned home for various reasons.After the end of the war,the issue of dealing with the war refugees has been put on the agenda.This article discusses that after end of World War ?,the The repatriation of overseas Chinese from Thailand executed by National Government,the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Agency and the International Refugee Organization.Firstly,in response to the repatriation of overseas Chinese,the National Government and the United Nations made corresponding organizational and policy preparations.Secondly,the whole process of repatriation of overseas Chinese can be divided into two periods according to the different subjects of implementation:The period under the auspices of the General Administration for Rehabilitation and Relief and the United Nations General Administration for Rehabilitation and Relief,and the period under the auspices of the International Refugee Organization.The process of repatriation of overseas Chinese is full of frustrations.In addition to the problems of funds and personnel organization,Thailand has also adjusted its immigration policy to set up obstacles for repatriation of overseas Chinese.In order to repatriate overseas Chinese smoothly,the National Government has repeatedly negotiated with the Thai side.Negotiations throughout the process of repatriation of overseas Chinese can be divided into three categories: entry quota,passport visa issuance,overseas Chinese identity certification and import tax.The national government's active repatriation of overseas Chinese is the practice and compliance of its slogan of "protecting overseas Chinese ".Including repatriation of overseas Chinese from Thailand,the relief for those returned from war and the repatriation of overseas Chinese after war are the largest salvation of overseas Chinese by the Chinese government in modern history.
