"sons And Daughters Of Heroes" In The Words Research

The Young Heroes and Herorines's Story (which is called the Er for short in the following paper) is a classical novel of China written by Wenkang from the late Qing dynasty in the century of 19th. Because of its the most skilful spoken and adaged slang pattern, it is always thought highly by linguistic researchers. The Ba coustruction's use has been already finalized basicly during this transitional period. The study of the Er's language can know deeply about the Contemporary and Modern Chinese, especially the change of Common words of Beijing.The Ba construction is one of the most characteristic structure in Mandarin Chinese, which is also the traditional topic in the study of special construction about Mandarin Chinese. The senior academicians have already done much fruitful research and made it become widen and deepen on and on. There are many discussions such as sources,constitute conditions,semantic analysis and pragmatic functions about the Ba construction in the academic circles. On the basis of these discussions, this paper will do special research on the Er.Through observing and studying all the sentences with the Ba construction in the Er, this article defines that among them there are 1580 sentences. Then classifys and summarizes these 1580 sentences from the angle of syntactic structure,semantic analysis and pragmatic functions.It provides more powerful evedences for the study of the Ba construction.It consists of four chapters.Chapter One"the foreword": Firstly it introduces the object of the study, including the writer and the edition, it also summarizes the Ba construction's importance in the Mandarin Grammar research; Secondly it recommends the current situation of the Er and the Ba coustruction; Thirdly it discusses the significance of the selection from the importance and the necessity; Fourthly it generalizes the thought train and methods of this study.Chapter Two"the analysis of the syntactic structure":Firstly it is the syntactic categories of the Ba construction formed by the classification and induction of examples of the Ba construction. At the same time it gives a quantized analysis; Secondly it mainly uses the statistics and contrasts the Ba construction with mordern doctine and specific literature works. Then summarizes the characteristic of use which reacting its period; Lastly it verdicts that the use of the Ba construction has flourished and operated widely during the period of the Er.Chapter Three"semantic analysis": Firstly, it divides the Ba construction into consequence, mood and quantity using describing and statistic methods on base of semantic focus;Secondly, it divides the Ba construction into cause and dispose on the relationship between the perdicate and the object which besides Ba. And does some data analysis simultaneously; It summarizes that the Ba construction is mainly used as consequence and it expresses the meaning of disposal chiefly.Chapter Four'the analysis of the pragmatic functions": Firstly it discusses the pragmatic function from the comparing dialogue with depiction language; Secondly it analyzes the factors to choice the Ba construction from the Ba construction's use of the Er, which is the request of context surroundings, semantic barycenter of the Ba construction, the force of syntactic and sections and the style of speaker.Totally, the research of this paper is quite limited and needs consummates more, then, it can summarize the use and change regularity and can do some materials accumulative work for the Ba construction's deep and comprehensive study.
