The Pragmatic Analysis On Construction "Ni(你) V Ni(你)"

In modern Chinese, the second person pronoun singular forms "Ni(你)”can combine verb to form a new structure "Ni(你)VNi(你)”(such as "Ni(你)Kan(看)Ni(你)”ect.), it is often used in modern spoken Chinese.lt is relatively fixed but special. Depends on this situation, this thesis analyze "Ni(你)V Ni(你)’’based on syntax, semantics and pragmatic, and the writer attempts to summarize the characteristics of this format, semantic and pragmatic functions, so as to sum up the pragmatic principles of it and to explore the formation and cognitive explanation.The whole thesis is about five parts.The first chapter mainly introduces the purpose and significance, research content and methods, some related research status, corpus sources and descriptions.The second chapter is to analyze the " Ni(你)VNi(你)”format based on the syntactic. Through analyzing the verb types and how it chooses for personal pronouns, the writer wants to sum up the characteristic of the "Ni(你)V Ni(你)"format. Through analysis, the verb in "Ni(你)V Ni(你)”mainly from "Kan(看)”,"Qiao(瞧)’’,"Shuo(说)”and several other senses, personal pronouns must be acted by the singular second person pronoun "Ni(你)”.Secondly, the consideration investigated in the sentence location. According to gathered corpus statistics, the "Ni(你)V Ni(你)’’format always appears at the beginning of a sentence. Based on it, the writer continues to explore the Subordinate Clause and the Main Clause’s circumstances.The third chapter is to analyze the "Ni(你)V Ni(你)”format based on the semantic. Firstly, the analysis on the three semantic formats:"Ni(你)Kan(看)Ni(你)", "Ni(你)Qiao(瞧)Ni(你)", "Ni(你)Shuo(说)Ni(你)" respectively, and sums up the whole semantic format of "Ni (你)V Ni(你)”The "Ni(你)V Ni(你)’’format has a strong subjectivity, this thesis summarizes the unsatisfied subjective meaning of appraisal. Secondly, to analyze the overlapping forms of "Ni(你)V Ni(你)’’. There are two forms of the overlapping form "Ni(你)V VNi(你)" and "Ni(你)V Ni(你),Ni(你)V Ni(你)”,the writer has summarized two kinds of overlapping semantics and compared with the original "Ni(你)V Ni(你)”format. Lastly, to summary "Ni(你)V Ni(你)’’and other Expanded form. The common used forms are "Ni(你)VNi(你)+Appellation", "Ni(你)VNi(你)+Zhe(这)--NP", "Ni(你)VNi(你)+Zhe Ge(这个)NvDe(的)"and ect.,through the analysis of the corpus to summarize semantics.The fourth chapter is to analyze the "Ni(你)VNi(你)”format from the perspective of pragmatic. First, analyzed the pragmatic function of the "Ni(你)V Ni(你)"format, summed up the following pragmatic function:strengthening the mood, negative evaluation, leading to transition and ect; secondly, researched on the pragmatic principle of the "Ni(你)V Ni(你)’format, drawn the conclusion that "Ni(你)V Ni(你)" format follows two pragmatic principles:the relation principle and the position principle; finally, analyzed the formation and cognitive interpretation of "Ni(你)V Ni(你)’’format.The last part is the conclusion of this paper, the summarizing of the contents of the previous four chapters, and to give a conclusion.
