"spring And Autumn" Sentence Study

Spring and Autumn Annals is a representative of the pre-Qin classic,and also works on behalf of Confucianism.The written language in it reflects the general outlook of language in the medium term of pre-Qin Dynasty,and deserves our further study.especially on the grammar school.However,whether past or present,about Spring and Autumn Annals,the study of linguistics has not been given adequate attention,and it is even more rare if we consider the language characteristics from the perspective of grammar school.This thesis studies the sentence pattern in Spring and Autumn Annals.We research all sentences in their entirty from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective,based on the grammar of morden Chinese,sum up and count up the sentence patterns in Spring and Autumn Annals,and then make a deep study on these sentences from the aspect of grammar and semantics.We divide Spring and Autumn Annals into sentences,and then separate simple sentences and complex sentences,every clause in complex sentences is no longer considered as simple sentence.in simple sentences,we divide it into subject-predication pattern and non-subject-predication pattern.In Spring and Autumn Annals, subject-predicationpattern includes verb-subject-predication pattern and adject-subject-predication pattern, while non-subject-predication patterns includes verb non-subject-predication pattern and noun non-subject-predication pattern.as to complex sentences,it includes coordination complex sentence and modifier-noun complex sentence.there is only one type of coordination complex sentence and it is continuing complex sentence;there are three type of modifier-noun complex sentence.there and they are object complex sentence,reason-result complex sentence and contrast complex sentence.For the simple complex sentence in Spring and Autumn Annals,this thesis tries to point out the way how the subject and the predicate construct and analyse carefully the features of verb-subject-predication pattern,adjeet-subject-predication pattern,verb non- subject-predication pattern and noun non-subject-predication pattern;For the complex sentence in Spring and Autumn Annals,we should pay attention to semantics and study the relationship between its clauses.To research sentence patterns in Spring and Autumn Annals,on one hand,I hope that this thesis could help people know more about chinese outlook in Spring and Autumn Annals,and on the other this thesis could provide some useful information for the further research in the history of Chinese grammar.
