| Li Fu, also named Lv Zhong or Jue shui together. He passed the provincial—level examination at the age of 16. Then he followed Zhang Zai, the famous philosopher to continue his studies. He wrote "Jueshui River Collection", 16 volumes, which have come down up to now.Li Fu was an erudite person and good at writing. Hong Zhan once praised himthat "he is and has precise and in—depth research to augury, arithmetic, concept of the five elements and music instruments. He focused on genuine studies, shows better knowledge level than those who are just high—sounding. In general, he is celebratedamongst all Confucians in Song Dynasty for he possessed both rational philosophy and practice method" He was also famous in the political affaires. As indicated from his memorials to the throne he raised many accurate prospects pointing to the situation at that moment and offered some effective solutions. Besides, had been serving the army for a long time, he made great military accomplishments. He wrote two famous memorials about cancelling building chariots as well as man—of—war and successfully commanded two battles ,the Qingtang and Miaochuan. Moreover, his literature accomplishments are excellent and valuable, even though some of the Jueshui River Collection were lost, what remains are still remarkable. Although his literature thoughts was full of pragmatism of Li Xue, it just reflected that the literators at that moment displayed a sort of brand-new taste to aesthetics and personality, namely a characteristic derived from self-expression and openly-exploration, which were well accepted in Tang Dynasty, and turned to the pursuit of individuality.This paper is composed of tow parts. Chapter One displays the chronicle of Li Fu and outline the track of his whole life, which centralize the present poems and prose of Li Fu with the reference of some other relevant historical materials, as well as some present researches on him. On account that there was no corresponding record in the History of Song Dynasty, so we made necessary examinations to some unfathomed issues.Chapter Two probes the Social interpersonal relation of Li Fu, present a full prospect of his life which are essential to the studies of him. His normal social relationship varied from common acquaintance to close friends. This paper concerns on his relationship with tutors, counterparts, colleagues and friends. Here we omit the introductions to those who he communicated with, instead cite their names. And those materials that can not be examined, will not be concerned in this chapter. |
