Maurice Ravel(1875-1937) was one of the most important French composer in the early period of the 20th century. Sheherazade, a song for orchestra composed in 1903, was a magnum opus of his early works and one of the milestone in his composed techniques and aesthetics. This paper set out from the research of harmonics, based on the harmonic analysis and discussion, and studied from aspects of the construction of chord, the progression of harmonic, the characteristic of mode and tonality, the thought of structural formation, and the integrated art represent of harmonic combined with lyric and orchestration.In this paper, Sheherazade song for orchestra are comprehensive analysed and discussed in the respect of chordal construction, harmonic progression, mode and tonality and music framework from the point of view of harmonics combined with the forms. After generalizing and summarizing about techniques relate to the work, this paper attempt to finally position the music style of song for orchestra Sheherazade, and from this respect to realize the characteristic relate to music style and techniques in Ravel's early works.
