Zhang Shenfu Confucianism Study

In China's modern history of ideas, Zhang Shenfu as a philosopher should not be forgotten. He has the idea that"Benevolence"and"Scientific method"are the most precious things of human; Confucius is on behalf of the best tradition of ancient China;"Confucius, Lenin and Russell can be integrated. His Confucianism thought is great beneficial reference in contemporary Confucianism developmentThis article mainly research into Zhang Shenfu's Confucianism thought in the first half of 20th century. It contains four parts. In the first part, the author analyses Zhang Shenfu's philosophic thinking which origins from three aspects: Marxism, Russell and other Western philosophy, as well as China traditional culture. In the second part, the author elaborates Zhang Shenfu's Confucianism view from two aspects, the first is"Beat down Kongjiadian, rescues Confucius", the second is his efforts to dig into the great significance of Confucius'thinking. In the third part, the author elaborates the main content and characteristic of Zhang Shenfu'explanation to the Confucianism thought .Zhang Shenfu gives the new interpretations to the Confucianism concepts"Benevolence","Middlebrow","Name","Known fate". The interpretations of these ideas have the features of pay attention to"Justifiable"and lay great importance to"methods". In the fourth part, the author elaborates the important meaning of Zhang Shenfu's Confucius'thinking. First, is Zhang Shenfu's Confucianism ponder under the vision of"new Enlightenment", second, is the practical significance of Zhang Shenfu's Confucianism ponder.The current era is an era of globalization, the idea of integration of all ethnic groups is inevitable. Zhang Shenfu's Confucianism thought is rooted in the traditional Chinese culture and deeply influenced by western philosophy ideas. Therefore, Zhang Shenfu's Confucianism thought to the contemporary Confucianism's development is a very important enlightenment.
