The study investigated the effects of complex music and simple music on working memory.372 students attended this research;they are about 16—17years old.The results indicated that the grade of the subjects who listened simple music before they studied simple material was the best,The grade of the subjects who listened complex music before they learned the material was better than the control group.The second experiment indicated that the subjects who listened the complex music during the learning process gained the best grade.The grade of the group who listened the simple music during was better than the control group.The main effect of the character is significant.The grade of introverts was lower than the grade of extraverts.The interaction between the character and the complexity of music is not signification.The third experiment indicated that the grade of the group who listened the simple music before they learned the complex material was the best among the three groups. The group who listened the simple music before they learned the complex was much better than the control group.The grade of the group who listen the complex music during the learning process was the highest among the three group,but not reached the significant level.
