From 1950's to the early years of 21th century, the English tranlation of Hanshan poems has reached more than fifty years.Much attention has been paid to 24 pieces of classical poems of Snyder, whereas other English versions have been ignored. This article, from the perspective of compative research, focusing on the versions of Red Pine and Robert G.Henricks, hopes to make a bold attempt in this area. The article is divided into three parts:The Preface introduce the canonization of Hanshan poems abroad, research status ,studying methods and significance of this article. The first part begins from Hanshan himself in history ,and makes an overview about the circulating, editting, editions of Hanshan poems. The second part makes a comparative research between Red Pine and Henricks English version, which includes three aspects. (1) Contrast about translation skills of Hanshan poems.(2) Contrast about translation purpose and strategy of Hanshan poems.(3)The misunderstanding of notes in these two versions. The third part mainly focuses the interference of source language in these two versions and hybrid translation stragegy which adopted by two translators.
