F·Gounod was an outstanding musician of 19 century in France. His vocal works are characterized by nobleness, grace, refinement and implicity etc.besides, with an unique way to express his feelings, he also laid the foundation for the lyrical music of France in19 century, which has profound influence on the later musicians, including C.
