France is all alone a nation with rich musical lauguages and fine musical tradition.The french musicians are exceptionally creative and have a sort of courage to try something new boldly, especially for the vocal creation. In different periods, French musicians depend on the unique and attractive music of their own to establish their fames in the musical world, with splendid achievemts. F·Gounod was an outstanding musician of 19 century in France. His vocal works are characterized by nobleness, grace, refinement and implicity etc.besides, with an unique way to express his feelings, he also laid the foundation for the lyrical music of France in19 century, which has profound influence on the later musicians, including C. Saint-Saens , Emmanuel Chabrier, Achille-Claude Debussy and so on. This thesis is based on the backdrop of the formation of F·Gounod's musical style, to make an in-depth analysis in terms of the singing style of F·Gounod's vocal works for female and the reasons behind its development. Finally, the writer takes three representative pieces of F·Gounod's vocal works for female as examples, to give a detailed discussion from their musical form, the way of singing and teaching, and how to keep their style unchanged...
