The essay firstly focuses on one claims of Kant's, namely, only when the motive is from duty alone could the moral worth be possible. This core idea is one of the most important characteristics of Kant's formal ethics. Duty as the only moral motive which can be approved by the categorical imperative procedure, is always be considered as being rather formal. I try to combine mutiple scripts, analyze them and propose an idea, namely, the essential point Kant aims to convey is the freedom behind the morality. Once it is the freedom that functions as the basis of his moral philosophy, the category of morality will not be just 'right' and 'wrong'. Also, I try to explore that because formalism is one of the most eminent characterists of ethical universalism, the distinction between ethical universalism and ethical particularism made by moral philosophers and their preference towards each side provide what kind of new ideas for the research of moral philosophy or what kind of limitation. In addition, I try to explore the reason for the ambiguity of the practical sense of Kantian ethics, from the analysis towards some elements in moral practice, namely, moral sentiment and moral judgment. I also try to reconcile virtue ethics and deontology, and what's the most important, I aim to contend that the practical sense of Kantian ethics will not be empty due to its deontological character. In the end, because of the analysis above reveals that although Kant's moral philosophy could not function as one of the rival moral theories for the moral judgment in a particular situation, it can function as the guide for the development of moral personality. This might be one of the practical dimensions of Kant's moral philosophy.
