It demonstrates the Islamic world by Orhan Pamuk's works, which is unknown to most of Chinese readers. As Chinese readers, we are not familiar with it, since it blocks itself out and the reason of its religion as well as other reasons also lay barriers to us. Fortunately, the emergence of Pamuk's works open up"the tip of the iceberg"by just striking it.In China, the study of Pamuk and his works is on the beginning, while getting the period of maturity abroad. Based on these studies, this thesis primarily discuss the writer Pamuk as an individual as well as a member of the mass Turkish, and the role he plays as a new symbol in the period of transformation. Furthermore, this thesis commits itself to analyze the artistic feathers and the connotation of Pamuk's magnum opus. It thus proves the conflict and discrepancy as well as the harmony and amalgamation in his works. By the form of interweaving cultures, Pamuk is seeking new ways of the"conversation"between civilizations. From this point of view, this thesis tries to systematically demonstrate Pamuk and the multicultural world in his works.
