Since the 1970's, there is a wave of Chinese learning among China as well as overseas countuies,and Australia is one of the most active countries. The main reason is found that first, Australian government led learning Chinese, second, a large number of Chinese immigrants in Australia have injected vitality into Chinese learning in Australia. But the fundamental reason is that China has become Australia's second largest trading partner, recently, and learning the Chinese language means that more job opportunities can be found in the society in the future . When the new Prime Minister took office, Chinese language education in Australia have been attached further importance.In 2008, Government promulgated a new national language policy NALSSP and invested more than 6000 million to promote the development of Chinese language education.So Chinese language education in Australia is the current education sector issue to be studied.But a long time Australian as a secondary industrial countries long-neglected in the academic research.We also faced many difficulties in the study because of the lack of information.This paper has also faced the reality of many difficulties.But in view of the trend of good cooperation between Australia and China in the future . I think that studying education in Australia must still have value. This paper introduced the overall situation of Chinese language education in Australia from the history and present situation of Chinese language education in Australia .Multiculturalism in Australia policy, Chinese language education has been not only in line with Australia's overall national economic development needs and has meet the pulse of the development of the times.This article attempted to study Chinese language education in Australia and summed up experience for China's foreign language education There are five chapters in this paper:In the first chapter Multicultural Australia policy , the history of Chinese immigrants and the social status have been arranged.In the second chapter I introduced Chinese language education in Australia's history and current situation and discussed the main three factor of the development of Chinese language education in Australia.In the third chapter as the main chapter of this paper, we can know the overall stiuation of the development of Chinese language education in Australia through introducing the teaching of Chinese language education in Australia.In the forth chapter through the introduction above, understanding of Australia's major characteristics and experience of Chinese language education. Australian education is in line with the characteristics of modern education and experience.In the fifth chapter as the end of the chapter papers came to the main point of view after reviewing the content before: the Chinese language education in Australia has its own unique and language education in China should learn from the main experience.
