From multicultural music education point of view, the thesis analyzes the rhythm teaching of solfeggio of music education major in normal universities of China. The author collects data about multicultural music education and some related information on this study, and illuminates the present research status of multicultura music education at home and abroad. Meanwhile, the author uses the questionnaire to investigate the rhythm teaching of solfeggio courses in several normal universities and analyze the internal and external factors that influence the rhythm teaching.The internal factors include students'interests, self-efficacy, and teachers'knowledge structure, while the external factors include social factors, teaching materials and so on. After that, the author demonstrates the necessities of implementing multicultural music education in the rhythm teaching of normal universities according to the idea of multicultural music education and the base of excellent contemporary music education theory.Above all, the author has explored theoretically the reform and practice of the rhythm teaching in normal universities, and then preliminarily conceived the course implementation of the rhythm teaching, which is based on multicultural music education such as teaching objective, teaching content, and teaching evaluation. Through the learning and training of different rhythm, the teaching will enable the students to experience the music rhythm characteristics of different ethnic groups and different regions, thus they will understand the local music styles. As a result, the students will have new recognition toward the rhythm while understanding and interpreting different music works, and they will construct multicultural music perspective. This study not only enable students to recognize the variety of rhythms, but ask the students to recognize and experience the extensive and profound music of the world, and broaden their view of music culture, thereby develop the students'more music adaptability.
